The Twin Love Concierge Yummy Mitt Review
Reviewed by Dominique Weiss, Labor and Delivery RN, Lactation consultant and Mom to 6month old fraternal Twins.
Yummy Mitt is a glove-like teether made from medical food grade silicone and 100% cotton material. It is very simple and safe to use. The mitt easily slides over baby’s hand and secures with a velcro tab. The end of the mitt is covered by the silicone for the baby to gnaw on, the design is ergonomically designed to replicate the look and feel of an infant’s hand. Designed for infants 3 – 12months this teething mitten certainly is a functional and modern approach to teething aids.
Why We Chose to Review
One teething baby is tough. Two teething babies is just a typical day in a Twin Mom’s life! And while twins come in pairs, it doesn’t mean they are exactly alike or will respond to teething in the same ways.
I have 6-month old Boy/Girl Twins that are just starting to teeth. I noticed that they started drooling more and sticking everything, including their hands, into their mouth. My daughter will actually stick her whole hand in her mouth and reach it so far back that she gags herself! It made me worry that she could cause herself to choke or aspirate! Enter the Yummy Mitt, a clever solution to this situation.
What We Thought
The Yummy Mitt really helped prevent my daughter from choking on her own fingers. It gave me piece of mind that she could chew and be happy without the dreaded gagging sound.
As a Registered Nurse, I appreciate the functionality that this mitt offers parents whose babies like to chew on fingers a bit too aggressively. Plus I especially liked that it could be machine washed easily to save from germ buildup.
